First, download the tracks and load them in your favorite music player.
Next, find a clear, safe place to workout. Outside is a beautiful choice, look for a large flat area.
Draw a chalk rectangle 36" wide by 16" deep. Of course, if you own an aerobic step bench, use that.
Before you begin each track, watch the video on this page. Do not try to memorize the patterns, just use the video for reference if you do not understand a cue.
Here comes the fun, play the music through some headphones (I highly recommend airpods).
Follow the cues on the track. Don't try to memorize a pattern, rather listen and execute the move as they are called in rhythm. Don't beat yourself up about mistakes, take your time. The important thing is to be moving! This gets easier over time.
After going through all four tracks, and you feel confident you can do them without the video reference, use them for your cardio workout. Play them in any order that you want. They can be repeated to build a workout as long as you wish.
Ways to adjust the intensity of your step workout:
For iOS, we use an app called Tempo Magic. It is a music player for gym instructors that lets you adjust the speed of the music.
For Android, we use Music Speed Changer since Tempo Magic does not exist on this platform.
These days, the best place to find a bench if from Amazon. There are lots of choices. I have written a comparison article of some models I recommend.
